Chris Brooker and Lisa DeJaco Selected to "Under 40 Hot List" by Benchmark Litigation

Chris Brooker and Lisa DeJaco, Partners in the Louisville office of Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, have been selected for the 2016 edition of the first ever “Under 40 Hot List” of Benchmark Litigation, the definitive guide to America’s leading litigation firms and attorneys.

The “Under 40 Hot List” is a new accolade of Benchmark Litigation to honor the achievements of the nation’s most accomplished legal partners under the age of forty.  The list is based on extensive research carried out over 6 months, with responses from thousands of practitioners by phone, email and face-to-face meetings, resulting in the most comprehensive survey of the litigation market available.

Chris Brooker is a member of the Firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Service Team.  He is lead counsel in a wide array of cases at the trial level, including contract, health care, fiduciary, constitutional, and product liability cases.  He also has extensive experience as lead counsel in both state and federal appellate courts.  Mr. Brooker serves as a Board Member of Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana, and is a graduate of both Leadership Kentucky and Leadership Louisville’s Ignite programs.  He has been recognized in Kentucky Super Lawyers® as a Rising Star, and in Benchmark Litigation as a Future Star.  Mr. Brooker received his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and his J.D., with honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

Lisa DeJaco is a trial litigator with a broad practice, ranging from real estate and zoning to lender liability to wrongful death and toxic exposures. She has extensive experience in intellectual property litigation, including trade secret and unfair competition disputes as well as infringement actions over copyrights, trademarks and patents.  In 2013 Ms. DeJaco was named one of Business First’s Forty Under 40 leaders in the Louisville community.  She presently serves on the Boards of Directors for Dare To Care and for Volunteers of America Mid-States, where she is the Immediate Past Chair.  She is a graduate of the Leadership Kentucky, Leadership Louisville, and Bingham Fellows programs, and is a member of the Jefferson County Women Lawyers Association, the Younger Women’s Club, and Junior League of Louisville.  Ms. DeJaco has an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell, and has been recognized by Woodward/White’s The Best Lawyers in America® since 2011, by Kentucky Super Lawyers® as a Rising Star since 2013, and by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers® since 2014.  A Louisville native, she received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Furman University, and her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
